Every few months we invite the LatinLover community to make and share work related to a theme. Our current theme: home.
Whether it’s an article you wrote about a new restaurant, or some amazing travel photos—the work you submit should bring Latin culture alive for our community. And it should fit into one of our standard formats.
Only share your own original work. No advertisements or self-promotion please. And no home videos or private vacation pics that don’t a tell bigger story. We also accept event announcements.

Submission formats and guidelines:
Articles
Non-fiction, reportage or opinion, generally short and spicy, aiming to serve up some delicious experience in 1,000 words or less. Must include at least two high-resolution images. English or Spanish text is fine. Word or Pages doc, no PDFs.
Stories
Fiction, memoir, first-person narrative, brief and evocative, imbued with feeling. Must include at least one high-resolution image. English or Spanish text is fine. Word or Pages doc, no PDFs.
Illustrations
Original art, illustration, comic strips, infographics. Insert file specifications. 300 dpi JPG in RGB, at least 10"x7" / 254mm x 177.8mm / 3000px x 2100px.
Interviews
Q&A with a fascinating person or group, like a celebrity chef, a local band or your 100 year-old abuela. Must include at least two high-resolution images. English or Spanish text is fine. Word or Pages doc, no PDFs.
Recipes
Traditional family dishes, new twists on old favorites, or something from your imagination. Must include at least two high-resolution images. English or Spanish text is fine. Word or Pages doc, no PDFs.
Postcards
A single image or slideshow of a place with the power to delight and transport, far from home or just around the corner. Images must include captions, stating (at least) what we’re looking at and where in the world it is; insert file specifications. English or Spanish text is fine.
Videos
Short documentaries or animations, event reportage, music videos, interviews, dance performances. Generally under five minutes in length, ten minutes as absolute maximum. MP4s preferred, other formats accepted. HD with resolution under 1080p preferred. Maximum file upload size is 10GB, well under 5GB preferred.
Music or Audio
A song you made, a podcast, a radio story. Maximum file upload size is 5GB. The following file types accepted: AIFF, WAVE (WAV), FLAC, ALAC, OGG, MP2, MP3, AAC, AMR, and WMA.
Events
Any excuse to get together: an event you're organizing, or have been looking forward to forever, something to appeal to local LatinLovers. Must include event title, date, time, place, explanatory blurb, links to ticketing information and at least one high-resolution image. English text only. Word or Pages doc, no PDFs.
